Rather than a mass-produced item, you receive an original photographic work on silk, developed by hand and designed exclusively for your space.
What’s the process?
Consultation at my studio or via video call to discuss your botanical preferences and space.
I provide a proof, a test exposure on silk to refine the composition and depth of colour.
Silk is hand-coated with photosensitive solution and exposed to sunlight to create the final, full scale work.
Your original Cyanotype is meticulously finished and, where specified, paired with its bespoke, hand-forged iron stand.
Your unique, handcrafted Cyanotype lampshade is finished and delivered, ready to transform your space.
How long will it take?
Once your design is finalised and the test proof approved, lead times are typically three to four weeks. This allows for natural solar exposure and the precision required for hand-finishing.
If you are working toward a specific strict deadline, please mention this during our consultation and I will provide an honest assessment of my current studio schedule.
What is the investment for a bespoke commission?
Bespoke commissions are quoted individually based on the scale of the work, the complexity of the botanical composition, and whether a hand-forged iron stand is required.
As a guide, singular commissioned lampshade typically starts from £255 (for a small scale shade).
