This shade is a one-of-a-kind botanical artwork, handmade in my Shrewsbury studio. An original wet Cyanotype on silk with a distinctive design of ferns in a scene of interaction and perpetual movement.
Exposed to sunlight on a very hot day, the silk and Cyanotype solution reacted to create ripples, rich textures, and colour shifts from deep blue to light blue and green, making this a truly striking one-off piece.
This lampshade is unique and meticulously crafted, a captivating centrepiece for any interior.
The charming tangle metal base was forged in Ayrshire, Scotland. Its gentle twisting form is reflected in the fabric design, and the aged metallic finish adds timeless character to this heirloom-quality piece.
