Handcrafted in my workshop in Shrewsbury, this is an original wet Cyanotype on silk.
A striking, elegant composition of distinctive ferns and fronds as they connect and sway circling the form.
Exposed to sunlight on a very hot day, the silk and Cyanotype solution reacted to the heat creating ripples, textures, and colour shifts from deep blue to light blue and green. It’s a truly striking one-off piece.
This lampshade is unique and meticulously crafted, and is an impressive addition to any interior.
The graceful handmade metal base was forged in Ayrshire, Scotland. Its sophisticated form is the perfect partner for this lampshade, and the aged metallic finish adds timeless character to this heirloom-quality piece.
